KING MASTINO was founded in 2008 by Massi (former Fall Out), Alessio and other musicians around them. At the end of 2008 the line-up stabilizes with Paolo Gnaga on guitar and Jozef Somojii on drums. The band composed the first songs and started the first tour in southern Italy. At the same time they recorded the first 7 inches record called "Rock For Sailors", creating a graphic concept inspired by the sea and the maritime life. The 2 crossed anchors become KING MASTINO's logo. This work obtains good reviews. In summer 2010, shortly before the debut full lenght album recordings, Jozef left the band. The new drummer is Gianmarco Petrucci, but at the end of the recording sessions, also the guitarist Paolo left the band. Mattia Roffi replaces Paolo and the band began the promotional tour. Their sound is very rough and sharp, almost "Aussie garage". The influences of the band are Radio Birdman and Celibate Rifles, but also Stooges, MC5 and Hellacopters. 2 of their songs appear in 2 different compilations, one released in the US, the other one in Spain. In 2011 the album "Hold Fast" was released by Area Pirata and White Zoo Records. In 2012 KING MASTINO played in Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland and Spain. They have also released some 7 inches splits. "Hometown" with the Italian band Gonzales. "Ain't Nothing To Fade" and "Broken Heart" with the American band The Dead Popes. "Don't Mess Around With Sailors" with the Swedish band The Sewergrooves. The 2013 album "We Refuse To Sink" definitely confirms the band as member of the European garage-rock scene. At the end of 2014 Mattia sadly left the band and Holly became the new guitarist. In 2015, during a 2 weeks long Spanish tour, KING MASTINO appeared for the first time on television, performing a 30 minutes live show for the Spanish channel RTVE.
