Animaux Formidables' second recording Call Me Tony reaffirms their collaboration with Marco Fasolo (Jennifer Gentle, I Hate My Village). The initial goal was to meet in the studio to crystallize a polished version of some new songs the duo had been working on, without aiming for a new full-length album. However, their synergy and Fasolo’s undeniable talent for capturing the compositional and interpretative essence of Animaux Formidables led to the recording of enough material for an EP. It took them only three days to cover sound setup, recording, and mixing.  
Call Me Tony was recorded live on analog tape with no editing or post-production overdubs. Compared to their debut album, Fasolo asked the duo to play together in the same room, experimenting with microphone bleeds as an advantage – to further enhance the “live” interpretation, the beating heart of Animaux Formidables.
The direction of this EP is a statement of Animaux Formidables’ intent. They want to keep doing what they love, with even more rawness and without compromise. It’s much like this mysterious Tony, who becomes aware of his true self and can only celebrate himself - no tricks, no deception, just turning up the volume!
