If you love psychedelia and rock'n'roll, but most of all you want to listen to a gorgeous female voice (a mixture of Grace Slick, Janis Joplin, P.J. Harvey, Chrissie Hynde and a lady version of Robert Plant) then ALiX is definitely the band for you! Imagine a dinner party with two quarters of early Fu Manchu, John Garcia in his historic Unida guise and an odd waiter serving Spirit Caravan and Masters of Reality.
Four albums to date: Alix (1997), Cuore in Bocca (1999), Nessun Brivido (2001), Ground (2004), which made them well-known in the European stoner scene. In 2000, the band performed at the Heineken Jammin' Festival in Imola, Italy, sharing the stage with Muse, Guano Apes, Primal Scream and Rage Against The Machine. The 2003 European tour with Norway's Pawnshop and Sweden's Dozer earned ALiX the title of "Italian Psychedelic Groove Rock Band". 2004 saw them touring Europe again, this time with the Americans The Hidden Hand, the new band of Scott "Wino" Weinrich (also famous for his participation in Dave Grohl's Probot project).
An outstanding review of the album Ground was given by the British magazine Kerrang! which awarded the band a -KKKK-. In 2005/2006, the band performed live in Italy and abroad. The album Good 1 was recorded at Red House Recordings in Senigallia and mixed by Steve Albini.
